January 2020 Sister Spotlight: Daphne Anderson

One of our many 2019 upgrades to our membership was a Sister Spotlight each and every month! We have loved reading the many stories of our sisters, and excited to continue this for 2020.

Our January 2020 spotlight is Daphne Anderson. The reason we chose Daphne for this first month's spotlight is because she is the founder and Executive Director of A Motivating Love, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in McKinney, Texas. They are also our chosen partner charity for 2020, which means a portion of our membership fees will be donated to them each month, and additional opportunities for sisters to volunteer will be available. Their mission is to help the everyday woman who spends all of her time taking care of everyone else. They give them opportunities to unplug, unwind and recharge in a fun and safe environment. They host educational and motivational events and have an annual event each year in May, the Saturday of the weekend prior to Mother's Day. The annual event is called Always Mothers Luncheon.

Daphne was born in New York, and leverages many years of experience by delivering services in a confidential, resourceful and dedicated manner. Her resume and background include extensive experience in association with C-level executives, Human Resources Management, Business and Project Management and Event Planning. Through her business, Always Assisting U, she provides online management solutions to handle office administration, business and human resource consulting for small businesses and busy individuals. She started her business in 2014, as a result of being laid off, while nursing her 2 sick sons from and illness and serving as the lead admin in 2 separate church ministries. Their business strives to add balance and productivity to each day, assist in giving purpose back to the business owner, helping them feel successful, fulfilled and satisfied with their decision to be in business. She proudly adds, "our clients get their day back, gain control of their business, and get on track to a better today and tomorrow using us." Always in her hand, this mother of 3 has a calendar, pen and paper available, armed and ready to meet her client's needs.

Daphne has spent much time bringing life to and coordinating for over twenty years with pride, confidence and a high level of expectation as with any project she puts her time and name to. Managing a team and keeping a cool demeanor are just a few of the many attributes that she possesses. Her enthusiasm and desire to please her clients is what she most wants to be known for.

I asked Daphne what she loves about our group, and she stated, "I enjoy the comradery of diverse women coming together with a new spin on networking and cultivating female friendships. The group has been very accepting, non-threatening and welcoming with open arms; and as an extrovert trapped in an introvert's body, that's been pretty hard to find! This is my second time being a member of Every Heart, after taking a break for a year." We are so glad she returned home, and excited she will be attending her first retreat in the fall.

Daphne is also a Notary Public and TABC certified bartender. She graduated from Cosmetology school but longer active in that field. In May 2019, she proudly admits she was rescued by Callie, her Labrador-Terrier mix pup, and couldn't be happier about it. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, cooking, entertaining, shooting pool, photography, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her 3 biological children, she also has 5 Godchildren and an amazing nephew.

She also adds:

"I am FUN - I like to make you laugh; life can be so serious sometimes that people forget to laugh.

I am HONEST - I am not rude or insensitive but politely honest, IF asked my opinion.

Thank you Daphne for sharing a little piece of your heart!
